Colour temperature describes the hue of white light emitted from a light source and is measured using Kelvin (k) on a numerical scale. We typically categorize colour temperature as warm, neutral and cool white light with each offering distinct advantages in different applications.

Choosing the right colour temperature can greatly enhance the ambiance of a room. Below are some ways to incorporate warm, neutral, and cool colour temperatures into your design:

Warm White (~2700k) - This colour temperature is ideal for creating a relaxed atmosphere, making it perfect for living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms. Emitting a soft glow, it adds a warm welcoming feel to any space.

Neutral White (~3000k) - With vibrant clean tones, neutral white light is perfect for modern and bright homes. This temperature strikes the perfect balance between warm and cool white light, creating a clear appearance without being too harsh or clinical. It is best suited for open-plan kitchen and living areas where they operate as a space for both relaxing and performing daily tasks.
