Never gets old, love the blousy beauty of these hardy blooms… bringing natural beauty into an interior always enhances it, I love how flowers mark the changing of the seasons and instantly set the scene. This year I have taken cuttings from my parents garden and hope they take! There is something about the continuity and a connection through nature that really appeals ✨

Making an entrance ✨

An entrance hall from a recent project… the overall feel is masculine and warm. Textured wall coverings with a fun beaded trim chair rail detail, beautifully crafted furniture and lighting add textural detail. My favourite element is the coloured glass lamps which for me always add an extra layer ✨

Lilac Layers ✨

When we creating an interior it’s all about layering up the details, from the floors to the walls and beyond. Large scale units in particular can be tricky to elevate but with some rich colouring and feature art, combined with mirror and textured timber ✨

Working on a corporate project affords us a new pallet and style to work with. We were thrilled to work with again on the renowned Huguenot House, located in the heart of Dublin. Mixing inviting warmth with inherent professionalism, this was a fantastic project for all involved.

In a bedroom the headboard wall is often the furnishing item that can deliver the most impact! It provides a fabulously practical focal point to your sleeping space. We often go with a feature headboard or feature wallcovering… here we do both!

For her dressing room we Inset leather panelled doors with timber details accented with custom antique brass handles created a fresh yet detailed look..

In the second dressing room we used an unusual bamboo textured finish to frame this savile row inspired mens dressing room. Hand made navy grass cloth paper is inset into the panels finished off with calacatta marble ✨⁠

True Blue ✨
As anyone who knows me knows I have a thing for blue (100% a problem inherited from my mother!!) Some people fear that it is a cold colour, but not me. There is so much tonal depth and I find it uplifting even on a grey day especially if paired with creams. As per the chakras blue is also said to fuel creativity, which it most definitely does for me!

In a bedroom the view from the bed is an important one! Statement art brings the best to most rooms, and this area is one not to forget. Here we have an oversize piece by Hiro Yokose, I love the restful and rich mood it brings to the space

Subtle & Sophisticated ✨

A room does not need to be stuffy or sterile to be subtle and sophisticated. This beautiful bedroom in a Victorian period home has layers of detail without feeling overwhelming. A feature headboard and papered wall offset with art and a custom bed throw is enveloped with cool calm tones…

Work in progress ✨

Inspiration comes from many places, it can be an old fashion print, art, nature or in this instance a combination of photography and nature combined. We worked with a favourite stone supplier to source this very special piece of marble to create a seamless 5m long fireplace for a truly unique main reception room ✨

SEASONAL ✨

Loving seeing all the lilacs in bloom in the hedgerows and popping over walks and fences. This gorgeous arrangement shows the power of striking colour combinations and elegant ceramic display vase

Yesterday the team and I got support a hugely important cause dear to our hearts. At dawn we walked Dun Laoghaire pier. We took a moment to remember those whom we have lost and to join together to support .house Please donate if you can to this very worthy charity

Biophilic Design ✨

Bringing the outside in. Within every interior we create we also consider the exterior and how it will interact. Borrowed views, bird feeders and layered planting can not only enhance a garden but also the internal home… We are real supporters of a approach to design, our 3 key principles in doing so are

1✨ the importance of natural light and integrating it into our interiors

2✨minimising artificial elements in an interior and harmonising any artificial lighting (2700k lighting temperature is our goal)

3✨ Bringing as much greenery as we can into a space through a connection to the outdoors and the use of living plants indoors

Stretch in the day, sun breaking through. Lots happening and lots to do. We are currently pulling together lots of schemes inspired by nature and the natural world. Looking forward to sharing them with you all soon….

Sampling ✨

Design is iterative, and on each project there is a constant progression towards the end result. Visiting suppliers and sampling is such a key part of the alchemical process… we are currently working on a project in London and these samples are for a magical arrival. Now to tease out the details!
