In both shops.
At the same time.

Gripping stories, high in atmosphere and tension, of what passed for “ordinary” life in the besieged world of North Belfast during the Troubles of 1968 to 1998: house raids, searches, checkpoints, State blackmail, arrests, murders, informers, “say nothing” – a world of survival by camaraderie, courage, and caution in the face of absolute power.
Free and all are welcome.
Some of us are too busy reading to look at the stars...

A lovely Japanese tourist popped in today and showed us a beautiful guidebook by (thank you for including us 💚).
And because our Gutter Team is multitalented (here's looking at you !) - this is what it says:
“A bookshop with a particular focus that sets it apart from the big chain stores. They offer Irish history books, beautifully bound books on Celtic mythology, and their own original notebooks that make for great souvenirs.
They also carry a large number of good books from independent publishers with small circulation and organize author events. This shop is a great place to find books and literature, a place that makes you think, ‘Dublin is not yet abandoned!’”
is slightly failing us this but don't you fret - we have plenty of to keep your mind off the rainy misery.
