A CrossGuns legend returns to the home of snooker 🤝

What a pleasure it was to have a visit from Irish snooker legend Robert McCrum to CrossGuns today.

Robert was part of the famous all conquering CrossGuns league teams in the 1970’s and 1980’s and went on to represent Ireland at senior level for many years before turning to Billiards.

It’s also fitting that the first official ton made in the old club back in 1975 was made by such a well respected figure in the game and lifelong friend of CrossGuns.

There’s no doubt that once the wall is painted the local graffiti artists will move in and make their mark but here’s something that caught my eye, it appears those talented folk have been around for longer than I thought 🤔

“NO EEC” it appears was once adorned on the wall, now my Irish history isn’t up to scratch but didn’t Ireland join the EEC in 1973 ? 🇪🇺

Whatever paint that artist used has certainly stood the test of time 😀
