ELSA DCU is hosting ‘The Right to Silence in Criminal Investigation’ featuring our special guests, Professor Yvonne Daly & Eoghan O’Sullivan!

Professor Daly is a DCU Criminal Law and Evidence Lecturer who shares keen interest in the publics right to silence during criminal investigations, like many of us!

Eoghan O’Sullivan, a previous EPL student of DCU, is now a qualified solicitor for KOD Lyons, a criminal defence law firm. Eoghan will be discussing his pathway from DCU and his life as a Criminal Defence Lawyer.

This panel discussion is not one to miss!

Exciting news!

Law 101 next Monday!

This event discusses and deals with all law problems law students would experience. Our guest speaker Ciara will speak about her tips and give advice to answering problem and essay-based questions. She will give advice on how to take notes, how to study for exams etc.

Furthermore, she will discuss her top tips for the DCU Moot competition as a previous winner herself. Talk through how she planned, her moot, and other concerning factors.
Finally, it will conclude with an open Q&A where students can ask questions that were not answered for them. Examples are what is life like after completing your college Law degree.

This event aims to help boost all students' confidence and give them as many tips and guidance they can use to benefit themselves.

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Intervarsity Law Summit. This is the first event of its kind which will bring together all Seven Irish Law schools.

The Summit is a three-day event that will be held in Rochestown Park Hotel in Cork. The event will feature the Intervarsity Gala Ball and Dinner, numerous priceless networking opportunities with the 12 biggest legal firms in Ireland, a Keynote Presentation by Former President Mary McAleese, a panel discussion from esteemed panellists, and the Intervarsity Moot and Mock Trial Finals.

The Summit will be the legal event of the year and is a must for any students interested in a career in law. We have limited tickets for each university so make sure to follow .law.summit on Instagram for regular updates💙
