Looking back on a great week of sales calls last week in Texas. Thank you to the Site Texas Chapter for a great roadshow and to all the clients who we met in Houston , Austin and Dallas. Its great to see such an interest in Ireland.

Covering over 800 miles with a great team of people Cherryl Brazier, Pedro Montoya Navarro and Birgitte Brahe my first trip to Texas did not disappoint, from our first Buc-ee’s experience (their locations area must see) to getting to eat some real BBQ in the Fort Worth Stockyards on route back to Dallas.

Thanks to Croke Park Meetings & Events for inviting the Hotel Solutions DMC team to the spectacular launch of the New Look Cusack Stand. The evening took us on a journey to experience the newly designed space through the four different natural elements: Fire, Earth, Air and Water. The MC on the night was the wonderful Brendan Courtney

The culinary experience showcased the high standard of food offerings for events in Croke Park Stadium, it is definitely one of the best conference venues available in Dublin, thanks to Aramark for the delicious food offerings on the night.

The production on the night was absolutely amazing, will the latest lighting technology provided by AVCOM. The finale was wonderful with the most fantastic lighting show which was projected across the pitch, well done to all involved.

One the highlights on the night was meeting Billy from Aslan who had recently performed Coldplay concert

The icing on the cake was the raffle when won 2 tickets to the All Ireland Football final, which were presented by Dermot Bannon who did the draw on the night.

Thank you to AV Partners for visiting us recently and for the lovely goodies! It was great catching up and reflecting on our previous collaboration as a valued supplier. We truly appreciate the continued connection and look forward to exploring future opportunities together.

Helen & Stuart visited the this week which is located in Dublin’s historic ‘Liberties’. The Distillery creates an award winning small batch Irish Whiskey in this beautifully restored 18th Century Church. As part of the visit, the team discovered some of the wonderful history of the old St James Church. The site offers bespoke Cocktail Making classes, Whiskey Blending Masterclasses, food pairings and a Gin School along with distillery tours.

The venue is available for private evening hire for events up to 140 people and offers a lovely alternative experience.

Stuart & Shreya recently enjoyed a trip to the stunning . A beautiful, 39-bedroom boutique style hotel located in the traditional fishing village of Ardmore, Co Waterford. The building itself seems to defy gravity as it is built into the cliff face, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The hotel has wonderful food offerings onsite including a Michelin Star Restaurant which we would strongly recommend House Hotel for any special occasion, incentive or meeting.

Stuart & Shreya got to experience some of Galway’s wonderful hospitality this week which included Ireland’s largest Horse Racing Festival - The Galway Races.

Jeff and Stuart attended the Summer Soirée Event last week which took place in the .

The ‘K-Chella’ event had a 130 in attendance and offered an afternoon of different activities, entertainment, delicious food and great networking with other SITE members and guests.

On a recent visit to Cork, Stuart made a trip to visit the , which is about a 20 minute drive from Cork City and it is located in the quaint town of Midleton. The original Old Distillery was in production for 150 years and was founded in the early 19th Century by the Murphy Brothers, before a new adjacent distillery complex was built in 1975. The new complex is Irelands largest Whiskey Distillery and produces some 24 million bottles of whiskey each year. It is the home to seven iconic brands – Jameson, Redbreast, Powers, Midleton Very Rare, The Spot Whiskeys, Method and Madness and Knappogue Castle.

A visit here begins with an informative audio-visual presentation before being guided through the production of Irish Whiskey and the old workings of the distillery. These old workings include the World's largest Pot Still, a 150 year old Water wheel which would have generated electricity for the site and stops at the original Malting Houses, Corn Stores and Still Houses. Discover the differences between Single Pot Still Distillation and Continuous Distillation and finish with a whiskey tasting in one of the original storage warehouses.

It was a very interesting tour from start to finish, I would highly recommend a visit on your next visit to Cork.

Hotel Pick of the Week – 5-star – Cashel Palace Hotel

This week Michelle & Jeff stayed in the Cashel Palace Hotel, a luxury 5* property located in Co. Tipperary to celebrate a significant birthday, they would both rate the property as one of the best hotels in Ireland. Adriaan, Karen and the team were so welcoming and the entire stay was made memorable from start to finish.

The manor house dates back to 1732, offering views of the iconic Rock of Cashel. The hotel is a proud member of the Relais & Chateaux and offers a superb range of culinary options. They dined in Mikey Ryan’s Bar & Kitchen on the 1st night which is a gastropub offering an excellent menu choice where the focus is on seasonal ingredients of high quality, soured from local farmers and artisan producers.

They visited the Rock of Cashel, Fethard Horse museum and Coolmore Stud which are wonderful visitor attractions nearby.

The highlight of the trip was dining in The Bishop’s Buttery, a Michelin Star Restaurant which delighted the palate from start to finish. Everything from the impeccable service to the wines and outstanding food was an experience to remember.

They would highly recommend the Cashel Palace Hotel as a must go to location for any incentives, meetings and celebratory events.

It was lovely to meet with Dermot Crowley on our recent site inspection to Clayton Hotel Sligo

A very big Happy Birthday to Michelle from all the team at Hotel Solutions DMC.

Following on from a very successful charity lunch event in early May we were back again in the Dublin Royal Convention Centre. On this occasion we event managed the international RIWC 24 congress (Retina International World Congress) where up to 400 delegates attended from all over the world.

This multi day event included an offsite dinner in the Guinness Storehouse and working with Sheil Entertainment Agency who provided the entertainment at both locations.

Looking back at an incredibly busy couple of months here in Hotel Solutions DMC, the team has enjoyed working with our many loyal clients. We Event Managed a charity lunch in the Centre for 624 people. The 8th Annual TWIG Lunch on behalf of our clients - Irish Grocers Benevolent Fund . There were lots of sponsorship activations throughout the pre function space, Karen particularly enjoyed meeting Mr. Tayto , the committee had a great line up of speakers on the day. Thanks to the fabulous MC, and the Dublin Royal Convention Centre for their support in making the TWIG event a huge success.

It is with a heavy heart we had to say goodbye to our 'Head of Security' and much loved member of the team Rizo. He will be sadly missed by all the team.
