Sarah Jennifer Knott Foundation
Our mission is to promote awareness, education, and research for Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP). Jenny also lost her life to cancer at a very young age.
About Us
The Sarah Jennifer Knott Foundation was established following the death of Sarah Knott from Cancer of Unknown Primary on April 11, 2015 at the age of 31. In honour of Sarah’s immense bravery, her family and friends set up the Sarah Jennifer Knott Foundation in an effort to promote awareness, education, and research of Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP). The SJK Foundation also aims to honour and continue Sarah’s late mother Jenny’s charity work. Learn more at www.SJKFoundation.org
Want to see a group of cycling legends? Here you go! This amazing crew of Paris2Nice alumni cyclists just completed their Perpignan to Barcelona cycle - a truly incredible accomplishment over the past week in aid of Sarah Jennifer Knott Foundation ! 🏆 🙌 Huge congratulations and thanks to you all ❤️ 🚴 🚴♀️
We’re so proud of our legendary SJK cyclist team who hit the road today in Perpignan, France for a 609km cycle to Barcelona over the next 6 days with a big group of mighty Paris2Nice alumni cyclists 🚴💨 Wishing you the very best of luck, gang! ❤️ You can support them and get more info on their epic trip in aid of the SJK Ralston Project ‘From Bench to Bedside’ here: https://sjkfoundation.org/p2b2024
In 2013, Sarah was diagnosed with Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP) and died less than 2 years later. One of the toughest things about her diagnosis was the lack of information and knowledge at home and abroad about her type of cancer. This was one of the reasons for establishing SJK. Roll forward to today where Tanya is chairing a panel discussion on patient advocacy in advancing patient awareness on precision oncology, hosted by World CUP Alliance (cofounders of) at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO). It really is amazing how far we have come and the progress made in raising awareness, research and education into the unmet needs of CUP patients. THANK YOU to all our amazing supporters who have stood with us and behind us on this journey ❤️❤️
