Apologies for the radio silence folks, we've been quite busy the last few months working hard on tours for Jameson Irish Whiskey, Tourism Ireland and Airbnb, along with a host of other events in Dublin. We are delighted to welcome Emmett Scanlon is an architect focused on the social purpose of architecture.His practice includes the design of buildings, academic research,architectural education,policy development, curation and criticism. In 2015 he was one of ten architects selected to participate in Irish Design 2015’s flagship architecture event “New Horizon_Architecture from Ireland” where he designed and curated an exhibition called Nine Lives at the Design Museum, London and at the National Craft Gallery, Kilkenny. Based in Dublin and Offaly, Emmett is currently mapping, observing and the occupation and use of houses in Ireland and so we will be excited to talk to him about this project and other collaborations.

Urban Agency

A brand new addition to the Culture Night trail, Culture NIght at AirBNB Dublin office curated in association with Making Space. The evening included award winning filmmaker Eoghan Kidney showing visitors how to make a virtual reality headset with card; while Dublin-based Illustrator Ruan Van Vliet hosted a quirky collage workshop, featuring some cats & dogs. Attendees also were invited to explore the seasonality of wild flora and learn what is good to eat with renowned foodie Gruel Guerilla and Jette Virdi Food Styling, international food stylist with a difference, hosted flora workshops on the night and will be sharing her top tips on how to style the perfect house.

Summer isn't over yet. Great things happening in Dublin this weekend. From the Food Festival at Airfield Estate, to our great friends The Doggie Do hosting a great party for furry friends in Merrion Square. Don't forget its the opening weekend of the unmissable at the Irish Museum of Modern Art and final for those of you who need a perk in your step after all that running around the Dublin Coffee & Tea Festival is happening this weekend at the RDS.

This weekend we are heading west and looking forward to finally visiting Dillisk, a seaside food project in Connemara, Galway.
A dinner in an converted boat shed, with a tasting menu inspired by the locality. We can't wait!
