The National Library of Ireland's latest project 'Revealing Histories' brings together items from its digital collections to reveal what life was like during Ireland's revolutionary period and focuses on some of the individuals who played a role in this period of Ireland's history.
This video from The Irish Times gives an overview of the project and some of the items from the digital collections - including a drawing of the escape route suggested by Michael Collins to spring Austin Stack out of prison.

One of our favourite buildings has reopened! We are very much looking forward to some of the exciting, in-person and digital programmes National Library of Ireland has coming up over the next few months. We’re also admiring the fabulous work that the library has done while the building was closed since January.

While we await cabinet approval of a loosening of restrictions, we take a timely look at what activities Irish adults are most looking forward to following the re-opening of society. Pubs and restaurants are the most looked forward to re-opening activity, with culture activities not far behind.
These findings form part of DHR's research with Amárach Research, an ongoing project since May 2020.

DHR began tracking media consumption habits in May 2020. The latest wave of findings from our work with Amárach Research may surprise, with Whatsapp leading as the most popular source of news among Irish adults.
