Desperately sad news as our Academy captain and national team player Sean Daly’s grandfather, Mark Sweeney, has passed away.
Mark has been a friend to the club for ten years and an ever present on the touchline. A gentleman to all who knew him, Mark had a kind, friendly word and more than a joke or two for anyone who was fortunate enough to have known him. Our thoughts and condolences are with Sean and all of Mark’s family and friends at this time.
Our academy players and both the Irish and Scottish national teams payed their respects to Mark with a very fitting and deserved applause.
May Mark rest in peace 🙏

CP Football Development Academy CP Foundation visit to Shamrock Rovers

This Friday, our youngest (and loudest) players from the CP Football Development Academy Foundation Group will be the mascots for the televised LOI game between Shamrock Rovers and St. Patrick’s Athletic in Tallaght Stadium.
The boys will also be playing a short game at half-time on the night.
It is a huge honour for the Academy and we are very grateful to Shamrock Rovers for the kind invitation

After a hectic opening 20mins or so to the match the score was 3-3 with both teams cancelling out each other's lead. As the game progressed CP Football Development Academy 🇮🇪 got to grips with the defensive side of the game and managed to keep CP United 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 at bay for the remainder of the Match while also adding two more goals to run out victorious in a closely fought tie.
