Would you believe a bit of history was made this week as regards CP Football in Ireland 🇮🇪 🥳⚽ Our first ever **CP Football Summer Camp** was held in the AUL Complex on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week! Woohoo!!! 🎉🥳🎈⚽ Big thanks to all the players, parents and coaches for what can only be described as a wonderful experience! One which we will all fondly carry with us for a long time to come! It was a bag of laughs and great memories were made - Singing 🎶 dancing 🕺💃 with a bit of football thrown in for good measure 😂 The fun was off the charts! 🙌😁 Definitely recommend checking out the video attached 🎥😊👍
Hi folks, Paddy here from the academy. Just wanted to share some news about one of our player's and his amazing endeavours over the previous weekend! Kyron completed a 5km walk/run from Finglas to Howth Summit last Saturday morning - in aid of Finglas Suicide Network. Kyron, who's Cerebral Palsy affects both his legs, has worked so hard to get to where he is and is an absolute inspiration to us all. We are very proud of his achievements here at CP Football Development Academy. As we know our player's can have good and bad days due to their Cerebral Palsy and Kyron still needs to use his wheelchair when he gets tired but he never gives up! His journey to Howth Summit wasn't without it's falls but Kyron didn't bat an eyelid, just got up, dusted himself down and carried on... what determination!! What a Warrior!! 👏👏👏👏😊 Congratulations from us all, Kyron! I think we would all be in agreement that a wonderful day was had by all during our visit to Phoenix FC this weekend ⚽ The weather was on our side 🌞😎 All our Squad's had a super time playing matches on fantastic pitches. And it was smiles all round when the time came to wrap things up 😊 We would like to thank Kay, Carl, Robbie, Colm, Colin and all the coaching staff in Phoenix FC for looking after us so well. We had a fantastic visit to St George's Park last Saturday to take part in the CP Challenge Trophy 🏆 ⚽ It was a great experience for our players and coaches and congratulations to our boys in achieving Runners Up🥈in Tier 2 of the competition. The final finishing in a narrow 1-0 defeat.
