It’s definitely BBQ season!! ☀️
We’d a great afternoon yesterday at the Weber Grills demo at Haggardstown Garden Centre.
Lovely idea to get footfall into to their gorgeous Garden Centre- we got some great BBQ tips from their experts on site and also had the opportunity to see their wide range of BBQs along with accessories. Haggardstown Garden Centre not only have you covered for a gorgeous garden, but also BBQ Season 👌

Preparations are underway for in Dundalk! We are so excited for the big launch on Wednesday 31st of January at Market Square ✨
What is ? It is a nationwide celebration of the life and legacy of Brigid of Faughart on her 1500th anniversary.
Since this initiative was first announced we've been working hard behind the scenes to create a visual concept encapsulating the Spirit of Brigid - combining her historical, cultural, and spiritual story with creativity and light.
Louth, - We felt excited to be given the opportunity to honour Brigid, Goddess & Saint, on this special anniversary. To embrace her Celtic heritage and Christian origins, exploring her deep connection to the land and the people of Louth, and their enduring pride and devotion to her.
With that said we have some exciting news to share... launching on Wednesday 31st of January, exclusively for 5 days, we present The Northern Lights - Brigid 1500 series!
Never before seen in Ireland this spectacular lighting show celebrates Brigid of Faughart as a beacon of light connecting the past to the present, illuminating her legacy, and transcending her story into the future!
This unforgettable audio-visual installation features up to 200 thousand individual points of light and unique decorative symbols exclusively designed to represent the spirit of Brigid.
Combine this with state-of-the-art technology, choreographed to the rhythm of music that will invigorate and inspire - this incredible attraction is free of charge and a must see for all ages!
The theme of the installation is inspired by the design of the iconic Brigid of Faughart mural in Dundalk created by renowned Irish artist Friz.
This show has been made possible by Louth County Council and Dundalk BIDs

Great to have Ron and Brian back from the Road Safety Authority Ireland-
Of course Harvey is all smiles as these guys fitted his car seat correctly when he was only a few months old. 🤗
Did you know that 4 out of 5 car seats are fitted incorrectly? That could mean anything from minor to major injury to your child…
These guys will be at Marshes Shopping Centre tomorrow from 10-5pm.
Tag a friend you know with a car seat just in case they want to double check that their child is secure. 👌
Thanks again to Ron & Brian on the great work that they do and providing peace of mind to all the parents and guardians out there! 💯
Safe driving everyone. 🙏🏽

What a busy weekend with so many lovely guests! 💯
We met an Irish speaking couple who visited us from Dublin to enjoy the Declan O Rourke’s performance at An Táin Arts Centre last night, two friends from Germany traveled here specifically to see Paddy Casey Music at the Spirit Store also Charlie who hails from Vermont who was tracing his ancestral routes back to Louth and kindly gave us a sample of his local maple syrup. This is just to name a few who graced us with their presence at the weekend. 🥰
What an amazing town we have that people travel from far and wide to avail of the great entertainment that both An Táin Arts Centre and The Spirit Store so often have. We are looking forward to a few great shows in the pipeline ourselves! Keep an eye on their social channels so you don’t miss out on some great entertainment in the lead up to Christmas and beyond! 🙌🏽

Spot the difference? 😅
Meet Stephen, Richard and Robert Billson who were the first boy identical triplets born in Bermingham in 1957 ever to survive at that time. Their mother received a letter from the Queen for giving birth to them which doubled their family in size- from three children to six!!
They lived a fascinating life… Attending the same boarding school as Sting’s son and often pretending to be the other upon role call when the need arose.
They now live apart but can feel eachother’s pain - if one is in hospital for a procedure, the other knows it immediately! If one buys a book in the shop and calls the others to recommend it, they’ve all already bought it 🤣 The stories go on…
It was an absolute pleasure to accommodate you guys! Not only were your stories so interesting but you were all great characters too. 🤗 and of course, we were delighted to accommodate you in our triple room! 😅
