Not Another White Dress
Custom made alternative bridal wear for the unconventional bride. Designed & made in Ireland.
Emma & Colin .... What a beautiful couple, huge thanks for sending me these beautiful images from such a special day at their destination wedding in Dubrovnik last summer.
Emma came to me after she already had her non-white wedding dress, to make a complementary custom floral veil. I really love her taste in colours and also the fact that she trusted me to find the perfect colour tulle and flowers to complement her dress.
Swipe to see more of this beautiful celebration.
Huge thanks to for a great write up in her .ie Style notes column. Bairbre is always such a great supporter of Irish designers, I am so grateful to have featured in her column several times since I launched two years ago.🙏🏻
Featuring looks this time which I have designed with the wedding guest/special occasion in mind.
Style Notes: Carolyn O’Sullivan’s designs for unconventional brides and a festive pop-up It’s always great to chat to Irish designers and creatives who are trying to break the mould and do things differently, their way, adopting a modern approach and to hell with conventions.
Inspired by the colours of a pink sunset, colourful flowers hand stitched onto a soft pink Italian tulle.
The ‘Pink Sunset Floral Veil’ can be ordered as is, but I have also been making some custom coloured veils lately. Custom coloured tulle or flowers can be sourced inspired by your wedding flowers.

A lovely surprise this morning to see my Wildflower look featured on the ‘We Love…’ page of weekend magazine. I definitely think it’s my most loved look so far from the reaction when I shared it last week.
Huge thanks to who was the first journalist to feature my business when I launched two years ago, thank you so much for the continued support which is so valuable for any designer.

Thanks to for putting on such a lovely event for the Irish made awards 2023.
So happy to be a finalist and delighted for Monica who very deservedly won the fashion category. Lovely to meet lots of other business people, we had a lovely time on our table with two jewellery designers and , check them out.
Myself and are wearing styles from my new collection which includes looks for weddings guests/occasion as well as the unconventional bride.

It's been two years since I launched and I have been listening to brides requests, always taking it all on board.
Every now and then I get an email which starts with 'Hi Carolyn, I have fallen in love with (insert style name)'. I'm expecting a few of those emails for this floral dress of dreams, part of the new collection on my website now.
Wildflower is made from a beautiful Italian floral silk organza, printed on an ivory base colour. And it has pockets too!

The feeling of having something made for you…. As a designer I usually only see the reaction of others, but recently I got to experience the feeling myself.
I asked Amy if I could borrow some of her ceramic handmade earrings for my recent photoshoot, but when I showed her the fabric I was using, she went above and beyond and created some new earrings to match. I knew instantly which ones were made for me when I saw them!
Amy is a ceramic artist who also learned her craft at Limerick School of Art & Design, however we were in different years and have only got to know each other online recently. She make every petal by hand, in either porcelain or cold porcelain clay. She is based in Galway so like me is making in the west of Ireland.
Can you guess if image 1 or 2 was made for me?You’ll have to wait a little bit longer to see the result. 😉
A lovely surprise today finding out I am a finalist in the fashion category of the Irish Made awards 2023. There are so many talented makers in Ireland so it’s great to be a finalist amongst some amazing designers and brands. Huge thanks to and all the judges. 🙏🏻
Lovely to also see .ie in the local retailer category, as well as quite a few of my fellow members

So much love for my pink wedding dress last week, some of you may not realise it is a three piece look, including a top, skirt and separate train.
Ideal for styling in other ways after the big day, I just spotted the skirt in todays with .ie
Huge thanks to stylist Orla Dempsey
For me one of the most important things is personal style, so I loving seeing how others style pieces in ways I might not think of.
Worn here by the actor Niamh McCormack, I love how it is styled with a simple vintage blouse. 💕
