🎅🌲🔔 So....it's that time of the year again Everyone... Christmas is definitely coming, and the event that kicks it all off in most people's homes is The Late Late Toy Show, this year falling on Friday 26th if Nov. This year the PA came up with the idea of celebrating family on the night , no matter how big or how small, or how diverse our families are ...after the last few years we have all learned that our 'families' no matter what shape or size they are they will always be there for us . So this year we have come up with the idea of creating 'A Late Late Toy Show Family Box' suitable for a family of 4 and includes a board game!! , and A Late Late Toy Show Cuddle Box , Which includes a beautiful plush toy ....each include a little bit of fun and some tasty treats for everyone to enjoy and start off their Christmas countdown!! I hope you like them .... Family Box is 20e and the Cuddle Box is 10euro. We have also been working hard on a PA website and we hope to launch that later today ....lots of details on there regarding the contents of each hamper and online ordering also!! Check in later for further updates 🎅🌲🔔

Big morning for all the wonderful kids in 3rd Class as they make their First Holy Communion. Im sure the prep has already started in some houses ⛪. It's been a long awaited day and normally one of the biggest events in the school calendar!! Unfortunately again this year Covid has denied us the usual celebration, however I know you will all have a wonderful day with your families and make lots and lots of memories. 🎃 🦇Well we truly hope that all the wonderful kids in our school enjoyed their day today!!! Everyone went to so much effort with their costumes and facepaints and I have to say the pumpkins that were on display were probably the best pumpkins we have EVER seen!! We know it's not easy as parents to pull a 'dress up day' out of the bag on a Monday morning but everyone went above and beyond so thank you all 🌟 A few people that need to get a mention are freddiehamiltonwholesale.ie in Kilcoole for helping us with our goodie bags and WoodRoofe & Son in Bollarney for supplying the pumpkins that Peter made those fabulous spiders from !!! We also have to give a massive 'bualadh bos' to the teachers and staff in the school for allowing us to have our spooky day in school and getting so involved themselves 👏👏. Thanks to those parents who donated decorations and to the folks in 3rd class that gave up a few of their precious weekend hours to help us decorate yesterday...very much appreciated. Pumpkin Competition will be judged tomorrow (not by PA-we would want to give them all a prize 😬) and pumpkins can be taken home tomorrow too. Sponsorship cards can be brought in any day this week !!! So once again thank you all so very much for your support of this event ...without your help, none of this would be possible!!! Hope everyone is looking forward to mid term ...we sure are 😴😅💞

So on Monday 18th we invite you all to enter (if you Dare 👀) our Sp👀ky Sch👀l 2021!! Fancy Dress is of course optional, we will also be having a 'Pumpkin Carving Competition ' for anyone who would like to enter ...bring in your carved pumpkin on Monday and we will have a table outside for you to leave your pumpkin on!! Lots more tricks and treats on the day too .🎃👻 Sponsorship forms will be distributed tomorrow!! As always thank you so much for your support 🎃👻👹

It's that time of the year again Folks.......

Massive thank you to everyone for your support of the coin collection , we raised €820 👏👏👏👏

On behalf of the PA I would like to sincerely apologise for the issues in the Church Carpark this morning. Thanks to your generosity there was a Tonne of 'coin' 🪙🪙 that needed to be collected and removed from the premises asap at the request of Colette . Unfortunately it wasn't the right time , but we had no option but to do our best 😬. The buckets were very heavy and with no one else to help it took a bit of time and caused some people unnecessary stress trying to enter the Carpark... believe me the we were equally as stressed!! Trying to get our own kids to school and to work themselves while trying to keep up with requests from the school too!! Anyway sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused 🙏 Thanks to everyone again for your overwhelming support of the coin collection ...and we will provide an update of totals etc once we get around to counting it all, hopefully this weekend if we can 🪙. Have a wonderful weekend everyone 🌟

🪙🪙🪙Time to dig deep behind the sofas again guys🪙🪙🪙....Every morning of this coming week Junior Infants will be collecting any copper coins you may have lying around, hiding in drawers, boxes, in the car and anywhere else you might think of!!! So gather them all together if you can, it's amazing how it all adds up and can be put to good use by our school 🏫. Thanking you all so much in advance , and a big thanks to Junior Infants for organising our first 'post Covid' (ish) fundraiser!! Onwards and upwards...and happy Sunday everyone 🌞

Good afternoon everyone.

An email just went out to everyone who provided us with their email addresses, it is in place of the normal AGM that we would have held under normal circumstances ... unfortunately the last few years have been anything but normal!!

On behalf of the outgoing PA , I would like to say thank you all so much for supporting us and giving us a hand when we needed it. Going into this I think one of our main aims as a PA group was to try and organise events and fundraisers with the kids happiness and 'fun' forefront in our minds as well as to try generate much needed funds for the school. I think on some occasions we managed to make it as much 'craic' as we could, under the most unusual of circumstances. We had soooo many ideas and plans...concerts, drive in movies, outdoor classroom, loads more, but obviously Covid put a spanner in the works on more than one occasion!!
We hope we made some memories for the kiddos and gave back in some way to all the families in the school , as your generosity really never fails.

So onto the next chapter!!!! As per normal procedure at this time of the year, this PA is now officially stepping down and we call on other parents to come forward to form a new group who will stand up and carry on the work of the PA ....and we really hope it will be easier times for the new group and that you will have a lot more freedom and options than we did!!! We wish the new group the very best of luck and obviously we will be here to help at any stage if we can .
