Carna Nursing Home

The telephone service into and out of the Carna Nursing Home has now been restored following the damage caused by thunder and lightning a few days ago.

We had a difficult time on Christmas Eve, and during some of Christmas Day, as a result of the damage caused to the telephone and internet services in the health services locally.

Many thanks to the Eircom team and management who brought out a team on Christmas Day to deal with the worst of the issues.

Our thanks, as well, to Parish Priest Shane O’Sullivan and to Radio na Gaeltachta, for providing information to the public and circulating an emergency mobile phone number.

⚠ Phone and internet damage in the Health Centre and in the Nursing Home in CARNA. ⚠

Severe damage was caused to the telephone system and the Internet services in Carna this morning because of lightening. There is NO telephone service or internet service into, or out of either the Health Centre or the Nursing Home this evening.

I apologise for the inconvenience.

I have been trying – and am trying – to find an Eircom Technician but to no avail.

I am looking at setting up an emergency contact number if I cannot find technicians from Eircom.

Due to the thunder and lightning that happened this morning, the 24th of December Carna Nursing Home and Medical Centre phone lines are currently unavailable.

We are doing our best to fix this problem.
