Great skin starts with clean skin. This means removing all traces of makeup, sebum, pollutants, sunscreen and dirt from the skin's surface. This is what the pre-cleanse step is designed to do.

Our oil-based pre-cleanser, Clear Cleanse, breaks down all surface debris that clings to the skin's surface, using a ‘like attracts like’ principle. The oil attracts the debris and helps to lift it away from the surface. Water is then added, emulsifying the oil and converting it from its oil texture to a milk texture, allowing it to be easily rinsed away. This cleanser can be used on all skin types, even oily skin, as it gently removes surface oil without stripping the skin.

Once all the superficial debris is removed, you can use a cleanser suited to your skin type to deep cleanse your skin, leaving it beautifully clean and ready for your hydrating products.

LYMPHATIC MASSAGE EXPLAINED:

Lymphatic Drainage Massage is a special type of massage that reduces swelling caused by fluid buildup. It can help treat lymphedema as well as post-surgical swelling, edema, sinus congestion, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, lipedema and chronic venous insufficiency.

Some of the benefits of lymphatic drainage massage include reduced swelling and inflammation, enhanced immune system function and relaxation and stress relief.

Lymphatic drainage massage is a type of massage used to reduce swelling caused by fluid buildup.

The lymphatic system acts as the body’s sewerage system. Consisting of a network of lymph nodes, ducts and vessels, it carries fluid—which contains proteins, salts, water and white blood cells—throughout the body to the blood. As part of the immune system, lymph nodes help filter out foreign substances (like infections) before that fluid enters the central venous system.

In conditions where the lymphatic system is not working properly, fluid builds up, causing the area to swell. Lymphatic drainage massage moves the fluid to where the lymphatic system is working properly, so the fluid can be removed and the swelling goes down.

Lymphatic system and the removal of toxins

The lymphatic system helps your body fight off infections. Fluids flow through the system and are filtered through the lymph nodes. If you’re sick or exposed to a lot of toxins, the system may become backed up and clogged. That is why your lymph nodes often become swollen when you have a cold.

Dry brushing is thought to help the body release toxins through sweat. The course bristles on the brush stimulate the pores and open them up. This makes it easier for the body to sweat, which in turns reduces the amount of toxins flowing through the lymphatic system.
