Galway County Council and the OPW - Office of Public Works collaborate on " A River Runs through it", a Per Cent for Art Commission for Craughwell, Co. Galway.
Following the Stone Carving Festival held on Craughwell bridge in May, the stone sculpture by commissioned artist Stephen Burke is well underway. The artwork will be form a sculptural stone seating with carved details inspired by the Dunkellin river and Rahasane Turlough.
As part of the Artist's engagement with Craughwell, we will host a Turlough walk on Saturday morning 2nd November at 11 a.m. Join sculptor Stephen Burke, environmental scientist Gordon D'Arcy & Turlough shareholder Maura Lyons, for an informal walk on the Rahasane Turlough.

SEAI is delighted to announce that the traditional homes pilot programme is now open for applications. The pilot is focused on supporting homeowners completing a whole house energy upgrade, and understanding the resources and skills required to improve the energy efficiency in traditional homes.
Homeowners can now apply for grant support through the One Stop Shop service. This work will be delivered through our registered One Stop Shops, supported by a homeowner appointed Traditional Building Professional engaged from the outset of the project (i.e., an Architect, Engineer or Surveyor that is competent in building conservation and holds relevant professional training and accreditation).

Unique location for a market !

External insulation installation to refurbished cottage.

The beautiful Ballymore House will be the backdrop for our local traders to set up their stall on Sept 22nd 1-5pm on the courtyard making it very easy for potential costumers to browse goods and services .

This Local market initiative is driven by the need to fundraise money to ensure we the Craughwells St Patricks Day Celebrations committee can cover the insurance required for our parade celebrations but to also build on what we have been able to provide to date .

Our ideas are big but our bank balance is zero 😂 so along with the above fundraiser we will also have other opportunities before next year for people to support our St Patrick day celebrations .

We are now inviting traders to confirm their interest in booking their place in what will be a fantastic event in a beautiful setting and we are sure it will be a sell out ..
