We travel to Ballydehob this Saturday evening to take on neighbouring parish Muintir Bhaire GAA in a top of the table clash with the winner to grab top seed in the group.

Laura’s Pool Tournament drew to a nail biting close last night and Tom “Hurricane”Notter proved himself a worthy winner. Congratulations to Tom and to all the players who competed. It was an excellent tournament and everyone who competed played a big part in making it such a great success so we would like to thank you all most sincerely. Huge thanks to Timmy for organising the tournament and to Irene for helping him make sure that it ran so smoothly. Thanks also to Jim Seymour for donating the trophies which was such a lovely tribute, and very special thanks to Jimmy, Michael and Owen for gifting us with a beautiful shield that will always remind us all of Laura O’Meara the legend ❤️

A week on from the huge loss of our beloved mum, partner, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, all of us would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for the love and support you have shown us all over the past week. We have genuinely been overwhelmed by your love for Laura and for everything you have done to make things easier for all of us. Thanks for the food, the work that you did so that we didn’t have to, for shouldering Laura through the village, for guards of honour, for attending some or all of the funeral if you could, for cards and flowers, for messages of love and support, for singing and playing and for praying. We are so blessed to have you all, thank you ❤️

All of us in O’Meara’s bar are heartbroken at the shocking loss of our beautiful mum, sister, aunt and friend Laura. We are all heartbroken but we are hugely grateful for the outpouring of love for our darling and for the love and support of our amazing customers and friends. Thank you all so much.
