The men in my life matter 💙

Sometimes we forget the nurturing role men play in family life.

I very often see my own husband put his own self-care needs to one side to provide money, time and energy for a better life for his family. I know he’s not the only father that does this.

Weither that’s working longer hours to get a job done , free time given to football coaching or other commitments or not prioritising self-care to have more family time together because you’ve been working all week.

The same rule applies to men as women - you can’t pour from an empty cup.

We need nurture space where men feel it’s okay to ask for help.

As a mother of 3 boys, I hope that one day self-care for men becomes something that’s seen as not just a normal way to manage stress but essential to live a healthy and happy life.

We are delighted to finally share with you that we are holding our first Family Fun Day on Bank Holiday Monday the 7th August from 2:00pm.

We have a fantastic Club, full of brilliant members and volunteers and it's not often enough we get an opportunity to bring everyone together for an enjoyable day out, so here it is.

Some of the already confirmed activities include:-

🏰 Obstacle Course Bouncy Castle

🕺 Disco Dome!

🥅 Penalty Shoot Out Bouncy

🎨 Face painting

🤹‍♂️ Carnival Games

🥄 Spud & Spoon Race

💦 Pass the Water (*not to be missed!! if you want your jaw to be sore from laughing*)

⚽ Mini Kids Football Tournament (more details to follow)

📸 Get your family photo taken

🥧 And for the Grande Finale, let's just say it's chance to get your own back, with the wheels in motion for a spectacular, never to be repeated event involving your coaches!!

BBQ, snacks and drinks will also be available so all we need now is that Bank Holiday Sunshine and it has the makings of a great family day out.

We are also holding a raffle with lots of prizes already confirmed, including numerous Family Day out passes, meals, treats and sporting vouchers that the family can continue to enjoy for the remainder of the summer holidays!

It promises to be a fun-filled day with plenty of laughs, smiles and memories to be made and everyone is welcome to come along.

For now make sure you mark the date in your diary for the family and we will keep you posted with further details in the lead up.
