Popped up to Limerick last week to visit this architectural masterpiece by Niall McLauglin Architects.

Stepping inside the International Rugby Museum was a full-on immersion in the meticulous craftsmanship and versatility of brickwork, adorning nearly every surface. Complex simplicity is achieved with a restrained material palette. Love it!

This new cultural gem not only celebrates the global sport but also breathes new life into Limerick's historic heart. Honoring the past while embracing the future, it's a testament to the city's rich heritage and its enduring love affair with rugby. 🏉🏛️

eedi INSPIRATION - Candace Wheeler (1827 - 1923); Interior Design Pioneer, Feminist, Craftswoman Advocate.

Delving into the remarkable history of design, I recently uncovered the inspiring legacy of Candace Wheeler. As one of America's first woman interior and textile designers, she defied norms and empowered women in the late 19th century.

Wheeler's commitment to feminism and her advocacy for craftswomen transformed the landscape of interior design. Co-founder of the Society of Decorative Art and the New York Exchange for Women's Work, she championed economic empowerment through artistic expression. Collaborating with icons like Louis Comfort Tiffany and founding her own firm, The Associated Artists, showcased her exceptional skills.

Her influence resonates in the intricate tapestries and textiles she designed. From the Colonial Revival to the Arts and Crafts Movement, Wheeler's work epitomizes timeless elegance and creativity.

eedi PROJECT - Discover Ely Winestore! ✨

Looking back on a much loved design for ELY Maynooth. Remodelling the historic coach house on the corner of Main Street and Convent Lane, Maynooth definitely had its challenges.

Drawing inspiration from the simple functionality of the original building; bespoke ash shelving was used to divide the space into a series of enclosures.

We worked closely with Alan Meredith (love your work Alan Meredith Studio) on the final table & chair designs seen here, so that each piece complimented the size & use of the space. The emphasis was on subtle details that allow the beauty of the natural materials to shine through…… and of course, let the wine be the star!

eedi PROJECT - We created this elegant bathroom with a light palette that reveals timeless charm.

Featuring a bespoke timber vanity unit, paired with the stylish Dowel Mirror by Kristina Dam Studio, and the perfect touch of illumination from the Orb Wall Light (supplied by our friends at Hicken Lighting).

We saved the Lefroy Brooks tap (and shower set not seen in this image) from the original bathroom and made sure our design would complement them in their new setting.

EEDI Project - Where functionality meets classic beauty. 🏡✨ A sneak peek at our project embracing tradition with a modern twist in a Georgian home's Utility & Pantry.

We chose to finish the bespoke joinery and wall panelling in Farrow & Ball all Bone for its soothing neutral tones and added a touch of charm with the 'Schoolhouse' light fitting from Mullan Lighting.
