Today marks the 50th anniversary of the Dublin-Monaghan bombings. Three bombs exploded without warning in the capital shortly before 5.30pm, followed by another in Monaghan, leaving 33 people dead and almost 300 injured. It was the single greatest loss of life in any day during the Troubles.
Thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost loved ones in this terrible atrocity. No one has ever been charged with the bombings. May the memory of those who perished never be forgotten and may their families one day get the justice. RIP 💔
