An interesting account of Tomás Rua ó Súilleabháin a teacher who lived here on the hillside between Caherdaniel, and Waterville. He died during the great famine, and was a good friend of Daniel ó Connell.

Mainistir Mhucrois........Muckross Abbey built nearly six hundred years ago, and still in very good condition. Situated just 5km from Killarney town in the National Park.

Grian agus báisteach... Sunshine, and showers at the moment with a lot of cloudy weather as well. Still it's better to be outside than indoors.

Cloch Mac Cudda within 15 minutes walk from St. Mary's Cathedral where the monk from Inisfaithleann slept for two hundred years, after following a bird whose enchanted music enticed him leave his island monastery.

Lovely Spring sunshine today, and I heard that this little cottage will be reopening this weekend. One of my favourite places for a cupán tae agus ciste úll. Sláinte agus táinte.

Lá deas grianmhar.....on a nice sunny day it's hard to beat Kerry. We have some lovely places like Clochar beach west of Di**le about 75 mins drive from Killarney.
