Best of luck to all our Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students beginning their exams tomorrow 🍀

As we come to the end of another school year, we would like to wish Mr. Griffin, Mr. Hornibrook, Ms. McCarthy and Ms. Fitzgerald a fond farewell as they depart us for ventures new.

It was an emotional morning as we presented them with goodbye gifts and recognised their contribution to the school. We have been very lucky to have them as part of our teaching staff over the years, and lifelong friends have been made. We wish you all the very best of luck for the future from all at Killorglin Community College.

Killorglin Community College marks students achievements with end-of-year awards Killorglin Community College last Thursday celebrated its annual end-of-year Student Awards Ceremony with Principal Fiona O’ Brien stating this week that the event gave the whole school community the opportunity to applaud and honour its students for their hard work and achievements.

We are delighted to be awarded another Green Flag! ♻️💫💚 💫♻️

The Green School Awards were held yesterday in the INEC. We were awarded the Green Flag for Global Citizenship -Litter and Waste.

A huge well done to our Green-Schools commitee along with their teachers Ms. O'Sullivan, Ms.Galvin, Mr. Courtney and Ms. Burke for all their hard work to ensure we attained this award 👏

For May Day, we planted 10 new trees on the school grounds, planted new flowers in the flower beds and continued to work on growing vegetables in our poly tunnel. Thanks to The Take One Programme which focuses on embedding Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in learning and teaching.🌳🌸🌼🥔🍅🥕🌳

We were delighted to welcome last week to give a talk to our students about Palestine.

Sally spoke about her first-hand experience of the settler colony apartheid state, the setting up of Aida Refugee
Camp in Bethlehem, West Bank and the hugely important work they do there.

It was an extremely informative session. Thank you to Sally for giving her time to deliver this talk

Congratulations to all 3rd Years who received their JCSP Certificates recently 👏 The day was celebrated with a fun team bonding activity with 'Wild N Happy' followed by some treats!

3rd Year Art students along with their teacher Ms. McKenna enjoyed an educational trip to Crawford Art Gallery, Cork recently. The visit proved to be highly inspirational for our pupils. A great day was had 🎨🖼🖌
