A little bit of New Orleans is coming to Francie Sheahans Bar .
We are delighted to welcome The Golden Compass Trio Monday July 1st at 9pm .
The Golden Compass Trio is a band of young upstarts thatโs dedicated to playing the traditional music of New Orleans, while also expanding on that tradition with their own renditions, arrangements, and compositions.
The trio consists of Bryce Eastwood on woodwinds and vocals, Ben Fox on upright bass and vocals, and Sam Friend on guitar.
Come join us for something a little different in our jazzy lounge bar .
As this is a free event we will be doing a pass the hat to support the lads on their trip around Europe .

Delighted to have had a visit from Adam and Alannah from Need For Neuro today with their parents Andrew and Geraldine. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to our fundraising efforts for this amazing family. Adam is off to Dublin again tomorrow to have his brace checked out.

We had a lovely time finishing our sugan stools with Timmie and Simon last night. We started these during or Biddys Day festival weekend. Everyone was very proud of their finished product. Huge thanks to Timmie and Simon for coming back to help us finish them.

Finally getting around to sharing our good news after a very busy week. We are so grateful to be nominated in 3 categories for Irish Restaurant Awards

Thanks to all of our amazing customers for keeping our doors open since 1886.
Originally Murphys bar ran by our mothers family, our Mam and Dad, Francie and Sheila took over in 1964 and Murphys became Francie Sheahans.
This September we wiฤบl be celebrating 60 years in business with Francie Sheahans over the door.

A huge thank you to everyone who has continued to support us in 2023 and keep Francie Sheahans Bar doors open. We remember those who wont be ringing in The New Year with us and will raise a glass to them tonight. Francie Sheahans
Francie Sheahanโs is a family-run bar. Itโs known locally as โFrancieโsโ, after Francie Sheahan who took over running the pub with his wife, Sheila, in 1962. Itโs now in the capable hands of their children Dodo, Frankie and Noreen, who are always on hand to deliver a warm welcome to their customers.
The pub has been in the family since 1886 when Sheilaโs great-granduncle owned the pub and it was known as โMurphyโsโ. The walls are decorated like a hall of fame with old photos and there is a great collection of baseball hats on display which have been donated by customers over the years.
Located at the top of the Square, directly across from the Puck Stand, it offers a prime view of the goat being crowned every Puck Fair. Hereโs a pub offering the best of both worlds: for a quiet drink during the day, choose the front bar or have a game of pool or darts in the lounge bar. By night, the front bar comes alive with the sound of live music. A great session is always guaranteed with a song and, sometimes, even an impromptu dance, or two. Music is year round Saturday and Sunday with live music Thursday to Sunday for July to September.
Francieโs is also a great sports venue for all sports fans. Enjoy the atmosphere and action of big sports events live on the screens in the front and lounge bars.
