Cromane Blessing of the Boats 2024! June 3rd 2.30pm - location to follow dependant on tide times.
.ie
Join us for a special local Cromane tradition where we come together to bless the boats for the coming fishing season.
We are delighted to help organise the event this year as we fondly remember all the hard work of Denis ‘BA’ Teahan who had organised this tradition for many years. May he rest in peace.
We at Cromane Seafest would like to extend our sincere condolences to Patricia, Sinéad, Aoife and all the family, on the passing of Noel Riordan of Glenbeigh Shellfish. We are deeply saddened by the loss of your dear husband and father. He was a true gentleman and friend of the festival and will be sadly missed from our community.

Can you believe that just a week ago we were searching for sunscreen? ☀️☀️ Announcing Cromane SeaFest 2024 - Sept 13th to 15th.
Unfortunately, this is our last post for 2023...awwwwww!! But don't worry, we've listened to your feedback and we're already diving into planning next year's festival!
Before we sign off for a few months, the Seafest Committee wants to give a huge thanks to all our amazing sponsors and local mussel & oyster farmers. Without them, Cromane Seafest wouldn't be possible! 🥰
We also want to express our immense gratitude to everyone who helped us out. Being a Committee of only 15 people, we couldn't have managed without the support of Cromane GAA Club Cromane Ladies GFC Cromane Tri Club Cromane Community Council Cromane Rowing Club Noreen O' Keeffe, Kieran Moriarty for lending his field for parking, and our fantastic neighbours in Killorglin - Killorglin Scouts & Killorglin Tidy Towns Group for keeping Cromane SPOTLESS. We also want to thank the Puck Fair Committee for lending us items. And let's not forget our incredible Water Safety crew - Martin Moriarty from Valentia, Conor Roche, Tom Healy, and Killarney Water Rescue who kept everyone safe on the water.
Last but certainly not least, we want to give a shout-out to Fiona, Claire and all the volunteers who handmade items for our Sensory Hub and helped out on the day - we appreciate you all! Special mention to Patrick O' Donoghue and crew of the Iveragh Coast Guard & Rescue 115 for agreeing to visit the festival. Community Spirit is well & truly alive in Cromane ❤️
We hope you enjoy the video created by our local videographer 📷 Niall P Foley and we'll be back next year (September 13th to 15th) for more ocean-filled fun! 🌊🦪
