A fantastic collaboration between us, SMILE School Completion Programme, Northside Family Resource Centre and Limerick City DEPS. Things are better when we work together.
Thinking about everyone out in the sunshine on our summer camps today as Limerick City DEPS are working with Ardscoil Mhuire, Limerick and with SMILE School Completion Programme and Northside Family Resource Centre to deliver pro social activities to young people within our communities.
On 20th of June, gather together to have a conversation about the strength that diversity brings to our communities - this can be over coffee, as an in-formal chat or as a scheduled meeting - whatever suits you and your organisation! Take a photo of your group having the talk and discussing racism. Upload your photo to Limerick United Against Racism.
Working With Horses (QQI Level 3)
This course is open to people between 16 and 18 years of age residing in Limerick City who have completed a QQI Level 2 course or equivalent for example the Junior Cert or have full-time experience working in the industry. An interest in horses or having a career in that field is also needed.
It will run for 39 weeks at locations across the city. Skills taught include stable routine, riding, horse health, and more. There will be a 2-week work practice.
Upon finishing this course, learners can progress with further education such as a level 4 course. Or seek employment.
To apply visit collegeofet.ie, email [email protected]. There is also a QR code on the poster below.
It's that time of year again. Best of luck to everyone starting their Junior & Leaving Cert exams. Just remember you are more important and intelligent than to ever be defined by a single exam or any amount of exams. Many people will find their paths in ways they never dreamt of. Do your best and when it's finished.... park it. Use all your networks, your friends, family, teachers and don't be afraid to look for support. It is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of strength and maturity 😉
