Its Friday 😔 the day I absolutely dread.
The fundraising update and to beg for support again...... again.
It honestly just deflates me. It takes the happy out of rescue for me.

Last Friday was just fantastic.
You raised the funds in advance for all the vet work for the Monaghan 9 so we could save them all and you paid 2,000 eu off our outstanding feed/supplies bill and paid 1,000 eu off our outstanding vet bill.

It meant I was so happy all day Friday and got to enjoy what I love the most... the animals without a begging post looming for that night.

Tonight sadly. That is not the case.
To keep going we have to reduce our vet bill that is now at 9,000 eu.
How has it climbed so high again?
We had nine puppies all needed to go into intensive care between both vets we use. They had a type of unexplained gastro infection. To save them they spent a week in their care on drips and on medication. That bill is huge.
Then add a few of the urgent dogs we saved needing x rays, blood tests, urgent surgeries and again all staying in intensive care drove the bill through the roof.
Then we had over thirty dogs/puppies/cats/kittens needed their second health check, second vaccines and parasite treatments. As you all know this has to be done so they can finally go home but also to keep them safe and in full health.

After we took 2,000 eu off our feed/supplies at Kellihers. We still needed to get enough supplies again for the new week ahead so that is why this bill is now at 5,400 eu.

We have to fundraise hard to reduce both these outstanding bills. We are out of credit again and this post is urgent for the animals who need us.

Just like these three souls who depend on us to keep our gates open today so they have a safe future to look forward to.

Labrador retriever, black. Distinctive feature: small umbilical hernia on the belly.
Child is crying, no sign of dog. If someone knows where is our pet, please bring him back or contact us.
