The team at CASK are absolutely thrilled to finally announce that Hothouse Flowers will be returning to CASK on Friday November 8th for what is sure to be a magical night at CASK.

Formed in Dublin in 1985, the Hothouse Flowers started as street performers before their first album, People, became the most successful debut album in history.

There is an unpredictable energy in the band that harkens back to their "Risk" days playing on the dancefloors of Dublin’s late-night clubs. They call upon their grand repertoire to create a show that is unique to the time and place. Improvisation can come at any point and allow the band to express their brightest and their darkest influences. "Rock and Roll is not about safety or politeness, it is not about perfection either. It is expression and it is spirit." Humour is also never far from a Hothouse Flowers night. They do not take themselves seriously. However, there is no mistaking the musical integrity among them as they open up to each other in musical dialogue.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of acoustic magic as the iconic Irish band, The Frank and Walters, grace the stage at CASK on October 12th, 2024!!

The Frank and Walters originally became world famous on the ‘90s indie scene and have produced seven studio albums. Thanks to the cult comedy show ‘The Young Offenders’, the band captured a whole new audience when their hit single ‘After All’ featured in the infamous ‘Billy Murphy’ bus hijack scene. With a back catalogue of hundreds of songs penned over 3 decades the band play all the favourites and some long lost classics in all their acoustic glory. Expect to hear hits such as ‘After All’ and ‘Fashion crisis hits New York’ coupled with timeless classics like ‘How can I exist’ and ‘Landslide’. On the night Paul of the Frank and Walters will share some of the stories behind the songs and anecdotes from the hippy diddly crazy world of life in one of Ireland’s most enduring bands.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Electric Blue will be live at CASK this October 19th

Established in spring 2018 in Turin, Italy, Electric Blue pays homage to the Cranberries by performing their hit songs along with solo tracks by Dolores O’Riordan. The band, comprising four members akin to the original lineup, has graced nearly 60 shows since 2019 across prominent venues in Northern Italy and beyond, including Mc Ryan’s, Pala Alpitour, Il Maglio, Corner House, and Maccarone. Electric Blue has been recognized by Hard Rock Hotels and has even performed in Switzerland. Their repertoire includes both electrifying sets, reminiscent of the band’s iconic performances like the one in Paris in 1999, and intimate acoustic shows, providing diverse entertainment options.

Spring Break, Europe’s premier good-time supergroup, are a live 80s act that have played at hundreds of shows, big and small, in hundreds of different venues all over Ireland, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

In 2017 Spring Break made international news when, having played at the 40th birthday party of Michael Fassbender, the actor took the time to discuss the “excellent” band with Jimmy Fallon on NBC’s Tonight Show, and 2019 Spring Break played with Cher in SSE Arena in Belfast as part of her Here We Go Again Tour. Proof, if it were needed, that this group are the best friend a good time ever had!

Spring Break have also found the time to take their inimitable show public too. Over the years the band have performed over 60 sold out nights across Dublin’s Vicar St, Tripod, and Button Factory venues, as well as 25 sold out nights in the Belfast Empire.

With a firm reputation as the top party band in Ireland and beyond, Spring Break’s wealth of experience in live entertainment is now as vital a component of their show as the musical flair, work ethic, and eye for detail that made them so successful in the first place.
