Thanks to our board of trustees, members, and a team of passionate and committed volunteers, the LPYMA Major Hall, as well as other function spaces at 97 O'Connell Street, are now available for bookings in their newly restored glory!

A fantastic weekend in Limerick for the Limerick Wild Geese Festival 2024. We were delighted to host 100 guests at the LPYMA for a six course banquet on Saturday night.
The Board of Trustees would like to acknowledge their committee and volunteers, Michelle Daly-Hayes, Loïc Guyon, Lorna and Randel Hodkinson, and Paul O'Brien, for their dedication and hardwork in making this event such a success.
We would also like to thank Limerick City Tidy Town and Helen O'Donnell for their support in purchasing paint and the necessary supplies needed for the works to the Major Hall.
A special thank you to J. Hodkinson & Sons Ecclesiastical and Interior Decorators, Randel, Lorna, James, and Gerard for their vision, passion, and hard-work in restoring the Hall!

A fantastic evening of amazing food, and great company, all in an historic (and recently refurbished!) setting in Limerick city, was had yesterday at the annual Limerick Wild Geese Festival banquet here at the LPYMA.
We were delighted to welcome the French Ambassador to Ireland, Vincent Guérend, and Mayor of Limerick John Moran, who in their addresses to guests, spoke of the special relationship that exists between Ireland and France, as well as the importance of preserving Limerick's built heritage and cultural venues.
A special thank you to the committee of the Limerick Wild Geese Festival, and Randel Hodkinson in particular, for their hard work, and dedication, which made the event such a success! A huge thank you also to Limerick City Tidy Town and Helen O'Donnell for their generous support in purchasing the paint and materials necessary for completing this work!
We are excited to be hosting the annual Limerick Wild Geese Festival banquet here at the LPYMA on 6 July! It promises to be a unique, and enjoyable dining experience in the heart of Limerick's Georgian core.
In conjunction with Randel Hodkinson, of Hodkinson Ecclesiastical Decorators, we have undertaken the restoration of the Major Hall, dating from 1876, as well as the first floor library, and drawing room of 97 O'Connell Street, for special use on the night.

While the LPYMA is currently undergoing renovations, we are delighted to be opening our doors this Sunday 2 June at 3pm for a tour led by John Logan, highlighting our history, and this amazing building.

We have a bumper programme of free and paid events! All lectures are 5 euro(or a weekend ticket can be bought for 30 euro) while all our workshops and walking tours are free!
We are bringing this festival to Limerick with LM - Limerick Museum , and have also teamed up with a few venues across the city, including the International Rugby Experience , the LPYMA and The People's Museum of Limerick
Please come along and support us that weekend, so that we can offer even more for next year!
Thank you to everyone who visited the LPYMA for today's book fair. In total, over 700 people were welcomed through our doors! It is important that we continue to make use of these interesting and historic spaces in our city
A reminder that the Limerick Book Fair will take place here at the LPYMA this May bank holiday Monday between 10am and 4pm.
Admission is free, and all are most welcome to attend!

The Major Hall at 97 O'Connell Street, one of the few surviving examples of Victorian era sporting-halls in Limerick city. This space has been home to some of the sporting clubs of the LPYMA since its construction in 1877
