Main bike hire company for Limerick Greenway makes tracks LIMERICK'S Greenway is without its main supplier of bikes for hire after the company that won the operating licence shut up shop.

At the northern end of Limerick Greenway is the town of Rathkeale. 📍

Soak up the local culture by kayaking on the River Deel or check out the ruins of a 12th-century Augustinian Abbey. Heading from Rathkeale towards Ardagh, you will pass five overhead bridges, beautifully cut from locally sourced stone.

In Ardagh, visit The Old Station House, located close to where the iconic Ardagh Chalice was found in 1868, or stop and make a wish at the famous St. Kieran’s Holy Well.

Our Tuesday Carvery

It is very disappointing to have sections closed at this time of year. It would only happen here. God help any business depending on this greenway.

A friendly reminder for all our Greenway users; A short 2km stretch between the Newcastle West Greenway Car Park and Killard Cross in Ardagh is currently closed to facilitate the construction of a cattle underpass. 🐮🌳

The estimated date for completion is 24 June 2023. Until then we advise that Greenway users plan their route in advance to be mindful of ongoing works.

Please note the Greenway Car Parks will remain open during this time.
