We are pleased to announce the election of Dr.Derek McInerney as the new chairperson of our board of directors. A native of Carew Park, Derek is a senior lecturer in marketing and strategy at Technological University of the Shannon. He takes over as chairperson from Pat Begley, who remains on our board and to whom we are grateful for his leadership and input over many years. They are joined on our board by Anne Kavanagh and Geraldine Minogue, who continue to provide us with the insights and expertise they have gained over many years in the community development and social inclusion sector.

Yesterday ,Ian and a few of the afterschool children, went on a guided tour of Ardnacrusha Power Station. It was an informative experience and the children really enjoyed it.

Thanks to everyone in the local community that came to support the plant sale today, it was a great success!

In partnership with ABC Start Right from PAUL Partnership, we'll be hosting a free drop-in session next Monday morning the 19th from 9 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. in our creche, where parents can call in with any queries they have about speech and language development.

We were thrilled to receive this fantastic gift today from Shirley of Petals & Paper. The piece is titled "Aontacht" meaning Unity. The flowers were grown in our grounds, and pressed and mounted on handmade paper made from recycled coffee cups and BPA-free till receipts that were sourced from The Urban Co-Op

Simone and Michael were delighted to accept this kind gift, along with Anna, Jason, Brian and James from our gardening team.

Our Afterschool children had a visit from Little Heroes First Aid, the children were shown basic first aid and really enjoyed the experience 👏🚑

Over the last few weeks, we have been busy collecting and recycling for the re-turn deposit scheme. Out of this we got a treat for everyone with a visit from the ice cream van 🍦🍦

Our afterschool children are having great fun this summer ,with a visit to UL Sport Arena and our neighbours in The Factory: Southside Youth Space 😁🏐🏊‍♂️

Last week we had baby chick's that came to visit us 🐣🐤. The children loved the experience. A special thanks to Fiona for bringing them in.

The TIdy Towns volunteers will be busy out planting in the near future. Many thanks to the members of the Southside Women's Shed for building the boxes

Limerick Mental Health Association will be providing a drop in clinic in Southill Frc on the first Wednesday of every month. The first Clinic will run on Wednesday 5th of June from 10am-12pm.
