Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Minister Patrick O'Donovan to our campus, where he announced an incredible new initiative: the Part-Time Fee Scheme for Specified Undergraduate Courses. We're thrilled to share that a selection of our courses in the Faculty of Continuing, Professional, Online and Distance Learning has been included in this pioneering scheme!

This scheme, a first of its kind in Ireland, extends grant support to part-time undergraduate students, making education more accessible to underrepresented groups, including those from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, the Traveller and Roma communities, students with disabilities, lone parents, and carers.

Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science Patrick O’Donovan TD has today announced details of the new Student Part-Time Fee Scheme for specified Undergraduate Courses.

6 TUS part-time degree programmes have been identified as eligible for this scheme for the 24/25 academic year. All courses lead to an undergraduate major award and are delivered in a blended format (part in-person/part online).

For the first time, under the Student Support Act, fee support will be available to eligible students who are undertaking one of these approved part-time courses.
