Facts about permanent make up-

* although the name suggests it’s permanent, for some it may remain in the skin but not be visible, for others it may remain permanently visible.

* it is NOT an exact science. I am working on different skin types, medications, lifestyles, each person may get a different result as in some will hold better than others, you also must follow the aftercare for best results. I cannot guarantee any length of longevity due to oil in the skin, sun, sweating, skin care products.

* the more natural that we aim for the quicker the fade, the less pigment I put in obviously the quicker it fades, this does not mean I talk you into more on your first procedure as I do not want you to panic but you must accept the initial fade may be more than average.

* it is ALWAYS a two part procedure, sometimes 3.

* there will be an element of upkeep in the way of boosting from time to time, I encourage you to wait as long as possible as you don’t want the skin to become over saturated. I have turned many away for boosts when they haven’t required it.

* your skin will only hold so much pigment, I could sit going over it for hours ( which I wouldn’t do!) but it will still only take a certain amount, this may annoy you, you may wish for it to be darker but that’s all your skin will hold. Remember the pigment will remain in the skin but may not be visible at surface level.

* all permanent make up will HEAL, PEEL AND FADE, it will then begin to push back as skin cell renewal takes place. We then put more in at the top up and most clients are happy then to have extra put in if they opted for extremely natural at the initial procedure.

* if you are hoping to never apply make up over your permanent make up then this is unrealistic. I can give your brows a shape and look natural when wearing no foundation but when wearing foundation you will still need to add a little brow powder in a lot of cases. Some clients tell me they no longer need to but in case you are a skin type that doesn’t hold as much then you need to understand this, I do explain in a consultation.

*natural is subjective, we all have different ideas on what is natural. This isn’t instant, this is a process and building pigment in the skin can take time.

You can see in the small photo how my client drew her brows on each day, I persuaded her to move away from the box style bulb and thin line tail, she still wanted them a little further apart and a straight bulb . On a more mature skin we must work very gently as they can bruise easily.

Hairstrokes and shading. A big improvement on shape. My clients main request was ‘not too thick, not too dark’ so I always make sure to listen. I think a little thicker at the top up would be nice in 6 weeks but I’ll see what my client decides to do.
