🌊The final layers of a painting are definitely the most enjoyable for me.. 😊 adding in all the final details and getting the tone and shading just right takes time, but the end result is always worth it 👌

✨️This print is part of my “Ireland Shorelines” art print series.✨️Using a soft colour palette, this contemporary collection of open edition prints are inspired by the many sandy beaches along Ireland’s west coast.✨️

This Art Print is inspired by Dog's Bay near Roundstone in Connnemara - a spectacular horseshoe shape with more than a mile long stretch of white sandy beach. Dog's Bay lies back to back with Gurteen Bay and can be found 2 miles from Roundstone on the road to Clifden.

💫I loved painting this one! I captured some images at high tide during the Winter Solstice, and the sunset was just magical that evening💫 the essence of what I want to capture doesn't always translate when painting, but I was really happy with this result💫

🌊The Bridges of Ross are located on the Loop Head Peninsula in Co Clare. Originally, there were three rock sea arches, but now, there's only one bridge remaining as the other two dropped to the sea 🌊 This stop off point is one of the highlights along this part of the Wild Atlantic Way 🌊

Fantastic day Údarás na Gaeltachta Belmullet yesterday to attend a fabulous workshop by Ainslie Peters of CREW - (Creative Enterprise West) on Creative Design Thinking.

✨️There's something intriguing about steps leading to the sea 🌊 Close to the village of Doolin, Co Clare is the pier where the ferry embarks for the Aran Islands✨️You can see the Cliffs of Moher in the distance and its a fabulous spot to watch the enormous waves rolling in from the Atlantic🌊There are rock ledges at the end of the steps where you can rest for a while on a fine day✨️

✨️Happy Sunday, and if you're out for a drive along the Clare coastline, make sure to check this place out ✨️

🐣I'm planning to have a very chillaxed day today and to meet some friends later for dinner and maybe a sneaky glass of wine 🍷and it wouldn't feel like Easter if I didn't attack some chocolate 🍫along the way too 🐣...there will be a beach walk thrown in to even things out though 😅

🌊You need this experience!🌊 A visit to Downpatrick Head to see this amazing sea stack is one of the most impressive points along the Wild Atlantic Way.🌊 Dun Briste (Gaelic for broken fort) was once joined to the mainland before it was severed by the sea in a storm. It stands at 45 meters tall and is 50 meters from the cliffs.🌊

🌊It's given me plenty of inspiration ✨️ and I decided to create this digital print to try and capture how impressive it really is🌊

💫Where's your favourite place? There's something so calming when you stare out to the horizon. Lots of my new prints have very vibrant colours so I decided on something softer for this one.. aptly named 'Horizonline.' I think you can tell by now that beaches are some of my favourite places to hide 😉

Keem Beach - a twisting clifftop route takes you to the beautiful peaceful and virtually uninhabited Keem Bay, Achill Island, Mayo - the largest of the Irish Isles. I enhanced the colours to paint this scene with Oils - 45 x 60cm.
