One of the best… 179 yards, Par 3, 7th hole @dromolandgolf This downhill par 3 is one of the showcase holes @dromolandcastlehotel in Co. Clare. It plays approximately 20 yards downhill with water left and a ball magnet bunker right. With the awesome Dromoland Castle dominating the view from this elevated tee, it’s quite a picturesque point of the golf course. Poor day on course? After a week of being sick, no gym and no practice I played a round of golf on Friday and whilst I struck the ball ok, things were just a bit off. I couldn’t hit a fade if I tried, which is normally my natural shot! So I videoed a couple swings and reviewed them that night. My alignment was all over the shop basically! Back to basics this weekend. A bit of alignment stick graft. You can see I’m using my left foot here as a swing trigger whilst also squaring my feet to target at the same time. The Fairway Finder This week has been tough. Laid out with a throat and ear infection, a course of antibiotics and pain killers and it was only yesterday I felt close to being back to 100%.
