Kenmare may well be the jewel at the top of the crown.
I had a luxurious stay with my wife this past weekend, golf for me , and a body resetting full body massage treatment for my wife at the award winning .
We’re both working professionals (yes I work!), with three kids and never really get this opportunity for a two night stay. So we gratefully left the kids with nana and hit for Kenmare.
Top Takeaways:
• Booking for two nights is a game changer. It truly felt like a 3/4 day get away.
• The free shuttle from to the village of Kenmare was incredible. So there was no worries about taxi availability in a small Irish village, and we had the freedom to have a drink 🥃
• The quality was exceptional. Having been in the beef industry myself and worked with bord bia and Michelin chef programs, the fillet steak here was other worldly.
• thermal suite is open to all guests and this is where the extra night really comes into play. My wife and I spent a lovely 90minutes cycling between the pool, whirlpool bath, sauna and steam room.
• Guests get an awesome rate for , it’s an Eddie Hackett design (who also laid out Carne, Waterville, Ceann Sibeal, Donegal, Enniscrone, Ballyliffin and more) and the views from all parts of the golf course are INsANE

Massive thanks to Brian and his team at Sheen Falls for the hospitality and the anniversary gifts laid out for us when we got to our room! Cheese board, and some gear!
The best golf trousers…
I’m a big joggers fan, to show off some west coast ankle, but mainly as the fit is so much better.
But I’ve just bought two pairs of ABC Slim-Fit Warpstreme Trouser
Mind blown 🤯
It’s worth trying each line of trouser on in store as there is 6/7 different fits available. And we’re all built different!
The fit and length of the ABC Slim-Fit Trouser is the perfect fit for me, it’s super comfortable and the trouser hem sits just above my golf shoe right where I want it. Meaning I can show off the drip that are these x premieres.
They are also a high return on investment purchase as these are perfect for wearing to work, to the coffee shop or for a smart casual date or event being easily dressed up by matching with a clean dress shirt or blazer.
for the win
Great lads, great day
Take pictures of days like this folks. When we are all 95 these are the moments we’ll look back on and revisit and relive.

I took some time with rising star in Irish golf, , no stranger to this podcast and known for her impressive achievements both as an amateur and a young professional. Born in County Kildare, Ireland, Walsh developed her skills early becoming a standout player at in the United States, where she earned All-American honors and contributed significantly to her team’s successes in NCAA competitions.
Walsh has represented Ireland in various international events, including the and the European Ladies’ Team Championship, where she showcased her talent and leadership. She turned professional in 2023, making an immediate impact on the . Walsh is known for her consistent play, strong ball-striking, and calm demeanour on the course, which have quickly made her a player to watch in women’s golf and is a contender for Rookie of the Year honours on the Ladies European Tour.
In the KPMG Women’s Irish Open, Walsh made her debut in 2022 while still an amateur, finishing in a tie for 30th, an impressive result for a young player on home soil. This performance highlighted her potential to compete at a high level in professional tournaments. In 2023, she competed again and finished tied for 53rd, gaining valuable experience on the LET.
As she enters this week’s KPMG Women’s Irish Open, Lauren Walsh is expected to perform well, drawing from her recent professional experience and the familiarity with playing in front of a home crowd. While she is still early in her professional career, Walsh has the talent and composure to be a contender, and a strong performance could further solidify her status as one of Ireland’s most promising young golfers.

I’ve always loved getting people and kids into the game of golf. Whether it was their first trip to the range, how to grip a club, learning to putt, I’ve always focused on making the environment and person comfortable and making the experience lots of fun - no matter their age!
From teaching my own son Christopher, getting golf certified, the next step is to go all in on something I love.
For me that’s a kids golf academy. So whilst I get my head down and get fully certified, now is the time to shout it from the rooftops that it’s coming and build the community that will give it a go and enjoy it!
So give a follow and share it with your friends and family especially if there are smallies to teens keen on experiencing golf.
Golf Academy coming in 2025 👊🏻

A massive thank you…
To , , and of course to all of the participants in the (can we say inaugural?) Jameson Shamble.
My first foray into golf events and the feedback on the day itself and since has been incredible.
My favourite feedback response;
“A premium experience all around on a premium championship links which we would never have played otherwise. The food afterwards was some of the best post golf food we’ve ever had! Have to say the player gift pack was out of this world good. We didn’t expect the amount of value we got for our money. We’ll be first to sign up for the next one! When is it?”
Massive appreciation to our player gift bag and prize providers to:
No doubt there shall be another event or two to look forward to. Don’t miss out on the next one!
I think we’ll go west for it 😉
