A little bit about me and what I do to support babies with reflux.

Air can be a direct cause of reflux. When a baby has air in their stomach, it creates excess pressure in the stomach.

It creates pressure similar to blowing up a balloon - The excess pressure forces stomach contents back up into the esophagus, leading to symptoms like vomiting or silent reflux.

Air can be swallowed during feeding due to reasons like shallow latch due to poor position, tongue tie, formula preparation, excessive crying and bottle choice.

If your baby is experiencing air induced reflux, there are other treatment plans other than medication.

Other options of treatment include:

Bottle Choice
Body Work
Tongue Tie Assessment
General Coping Strategies

Infant Reflux is such a complicated issue to navigate. There are so many elements to factor in.
These include;
Is the baby taking on air - if so how - bottle teat, feeding position, formula prep, tongue tie, latch issues, tension or strain patterns?

Then there are the more complicated elements to consider like intolerance or allergies.

There is no quick fix for infant reflux it is a puzzle with so many pieces.
