***CRY-BABY DANCE WORKSHOP***

Join us for our dance workshop on Sunday September 1st with our fabulous choreographer Stephen O’Ríain at 11am to 1pm in St Patrick’s Comprehensive, Shannon. Be sure to let us know if you are unable to attend the workshop as it will be a vital part of the audition process for our upcoming show Cry-Baby!!

For the first time in Ireland, Muse Productions are proud to present "Forever Plaid", a Barbershop Quartet r***e style musical. Directed by Martin McNelis, with Musical Direction by Shannon Hegarty and Cliodhna McNelis, this small cast musical tells the story of "The Plaids" a fictional four part harmony group from the 1950s.

The quartet of high-school chums dreams of recording an album ended in their deaths in a collision with a bus filled with Catholic schoolgirls on their way to see the Beatles' American debut on The Ed Sullivan Show. The r***e begins with the Plaids returning from the afterlife for one final chance at musical glory.

Clíodhna was nominated for Best Actress in the Role of Evita with Marian Choral Society Tuam, Aidan for Best Supporting Actor in the role of Ursula with Shannon Musical Society, and James for Best Youth Performance as Flounder, also with SMS. Introducing SHELBY played by Tara Monaghan.
When we first meet the young vibrant and sweet Shelby, she is getting her hair done in preparation for her wedding, which is themed in ‘Blush and Bashfull’ or as her mother believes ‘Pink and Pink’!
In her first ever production with Ennis Players, Tara takes on the role of Shelby. But she is no stranger to the stage. Having enrolled at Eclipse Stage School at six years of age, she has loved performing from a young age. Most recently she performed with Shannon Musical Society and Muse Productions. Some of her favourite roles include Nicki in 'Bouncers and Shakers', Vicki in 'Caught in the Next', and Hermia in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.

Muse Productions are proud to announce that our next full length production will be the Amateur Irish Premiere of Tom Stoppard’s “Shakespeare in Love”!

Readings will take place in May with rehearsals starting late August. This dramatisation of the Oscar Winning movie also includes live music scoring the production. This will be a large scale production with a cast of over 20 so all are welcome. Dates currently planned for October 30th - Nov 1st.
