Blue Heron Coaching
I always believed that women had more power and greater personal strengths than they knew.
The key to awakening that personal power is to clarify ‘what do you want to do with your unique gifts and talents?’. Lily Murphy of Blue Heron Coaching supports people to become highly effective leaders and managers. Lily works specifically with Senior Managers across a wide range of organisations in public voluntary and private sectors
In this episode of Her Next Step, Anne Doherty, CEO of Cork City Council, tackles the difference between management and leadership. She talks about how you're already as good as your team and how you earn support through respect, honesty and communication. You can listen on all podcast platforms or watch on YouTube
Beautiful night for a dip

"For women thinking about promotion - Be confident in your abilities and don't allow self doubt to sneak in and take away your opportunity."

I'm delighted! Her Next Step has reached the dizzy heights of 1000 downloads after only 3 and a half months since the first episode. This is testament to the interesting stories told by Edel McSharry, Una Parsons, Kennedy, , Fallon and Rosaleen Fahy Wallace
I know there are so many other women around Ireland working in some aspect of public service who are smart, ambitious and passionate about making the public service a better place ...better at providing services to the public (us) and better for the people who work there. Many of these women weren't 'born leaders'. They are women just like us who found an area of work where they could use their innate skills and passion to do what they love doing. Some of them found that passion and position early in their careers. Many got there slowly, by trial and error, by taking one slow step at a time not really knowing where that step might take them.
Please share this post with a woman who should be a guest on the show! I'm making a list....!!

Women it's time to start trusting your intuition.
Research now demonstrates that when we use our intuition we make more confident and accurate decisions.
However, too often we let the the Saboteur 'rational' voice drown out the 'ni**le' that says 'I could go for that job', 'I'd love to lead that project', 'I don't enjoy this work any more...would love to try something different'
My next Mental fitness intensive commencing May 8th will teach you how to develop your intuition and minimise your saboteur voices.
See details in a previous post or email me on [email protected] if you would like to know more
One of my recent intuitive decisions was to move house. 2 years on I'm living in beautiful Rosses Point within 2 min walk of the beach.
When did you last let your intuition guide you?
