BUFC Champions Cup 2024

Ballisodare United FC and Ballisodare Community Council wish Skreen native Lauren Cadden and her teammates the best of luck as she represents Ireland at the Olympics in Paris over the coming weeks 🇮🇪

All the best of luck to some other Sligo athletes Chris O'Donnell, Dean Clancy & Mona McSharry as they also represent Sligo and Ireland in the Olympic Games 👏🏻

After 2 days of fantastic football, all eyes are on BUFC Astro tomorrow for the last day of Week 1 of the BUFC Summer Camp.

Tomorrow, we will see the Green Team 🟢 who top the group, play the Red Team 🔴 and the Yellow Team 🟡 who finished 2nd take on the Blue Team 🔵 in a 2-legged Semi-Final. With the two winners competing for the BUFC Champions Cup and the Semi-Final losers competing for the BUFC Shield.

Like the last few days, we are guaranteed great football, plenty of goals, and lots of smiles 😁⚽💪🏻.

BUFC will run a Mini Soccer Blitz Camps at our Astro pitch.

Price per camp is €30 for one week or €50 to sign up for both weeks.

We will select teams at the start of each week and they will compete for the BUFC Champions Cup 🔴⚪️

Parents are asked to ensure children come prepared for the weather. The camp will run from 10am - 2pm with a lunch break so could all players bring a packed lunch and plenty of water with them, please. ⚽️

Ballisodare United FC's 2024 AGM takes place on Wednesday 24th July at 8pm in our Clubhouse (at our Astro Facility) 🔴⚪️

Reminder for tonight: Ballisodare United FC will have our end of season youth awards presentations on Wednesday 17th July at 8pm in Ballisodare Community Centre (Top building at BUFC Astro Facility)

Every age group from U11s to U16s are invited to attend. There will be two awards for players in each underage group a Merit award and a Player Of The Year award.
We will also announce a very special annual award that the club will award to one player per season.

We will also have information on this year's Duck Race/5KM Road Race, volunteering and registration for the 2024/25 season.
Asking all youth players, parents and supporters asked to attend. 👍🏻⚽️

Ballisodare United Football are proud to announce that Under 14 player Euan Finnegan has been selected to represent Ireland at the upcoming Cerebral Palsy International Tournament to be held at Fort Ann, New York from June 22nd to June 27th next.👏🏻

Euan has been with the club since joining our underage academy many years back and has played competitive football in the Sligo-Leitrim Youths League form under 11 and is currently a valuable member of our under 15 squad who recently won the Sligo-Leitrim Under 15 Shield. 🔴⚪️

This a great achievement for Euan, his family and his club coaches Martin Toolan and Tommy Lavelle and everyone at the club want to wish Euan every success in America. 👏🏻

Ballisodare United FC mens senior team play Manor Rangers in the Promotion/Relegation Playoff this coming Saturday (25th May) at 7pm in MacSharry Park, F91 PX45 ⚽️

The team hope to hit back from Cup Final disappointment with an improved performance on Saturday and end the season on a high 👍🏻

Ballisodare United FC mens senior team play Aughanagh Celtic in the Glasshouse Cup Final this coming Sunday (12th May) at 2pm in MacSharry Park ⚽️

BUFC finished third in the league, won the Cup QF 2-0 against Ballygawley and won the Semi Final 1-0 away to Merville last week. Meanwhile, Aughanagh are league winners and will be a very tough opposition for any team in Sligo Leitrim.

The team would love to get as much support as possible on Sunday!💪🏻

Over the past year, BUFC club members have been diligently focused on enhancing various aspects of our clubs operations. Our club members have worked hard behind the scenes with Noel Meenaghan, Aidan Kenny, Paul Cunningham among others lead the project. From governance initiatives to supporting our coaches in attaining coaching badges, ensuring all coaches have undergone Safeguarding training and are Garda vetted, to upgrading our facilities for the benefit of our players, their parents and the local community. One such upgrade is the new clubhouse and changing rooms at our astro facility. Aidan Kenny, Paul Cunningham, John Healy (Chairperson) Noel Meenaghan and Fergal Galvin (Vice Chairperson) met with Damon Kearney for the presentation yesterday🔴⚪️🔴

Achieving the Club Mark award is a notable milestone for Ballisodare United FC. We hope it will assist as we aim to bring positive benefits to all aspects of our club ⚽️

Ballisodare United FC U14s players Callum Kenny and Daniel Connolly are two of the 20 boys selected to represent the Sligo-Leitrim league in the week long Kennedy Cup 2024 tournament taking place in University of Limerick Sports Facility 👏🏻

With 40 players selected (20 Boys Kennedy Cup) and (20 Girls Gaynor Cup).
This is the main fundraiser for both squads and with the week costing almost €11,000 for both squads registration, accommodation, travel and food for the week in Limerick we would be delighted if you could donate anything big or small using the link below.
