My brother was tragically and suddenly taken away from us this year. Anyone that met Daragh knew that he would do anything for his family. He moved home to Ireland to create a better future for them. On the cusp of success, completing a Masters in Education and securing a job with ETB here in Sligo, he was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma. He passed away in March this year, days after his 42nd birthday. He is survived by his wife Ara and three young children.
Daragh can no longer provide for his family in the way he had hoped to. He and his family have made such an impact on their local community in the short time since arriving home, they have set up this fundraiser in honour of Daragh and to help support his family. If you are in a position to donate to it please do, even the smallest amount is appreciated. Help us to help his children have the life my brother always wanted for them.

A 2,000-year-old Chinese mindset can make you more successful—it 'takes almost zero effort,' says psychologist 13/07/2023

It’s nice to see a Chinese concept so linked to Tai Chi in a mainstream source, but I would translate Wu Wei 无为 as “non conscious action“, rather than non action.

The hidden meanings of yin and yang - John Bellaimey 12/03/2023

A nice introduction to yin and yang 陰陽. It took me a long time to internalize and not just intellectually understand it, but now I see it everywhere. If you want your tai chi to get better you have to try to understand the concept.

The first thing we learn in Tai Chi is to prepare the body by loosening and opening all the joints in the body. In the video below i demonstrate a sample of the preparatory exercises of our Tai Chi system. These exercises work through all the major joints in the body, in order to create a strong and flexible body and provide you with the physical skills to perform Tai Chi proper. There are 24 fundamental exercises that we will cover over the 10 week beginners course that’s starts Monday 4th of April.
