On Sunday 11th September a cake sale coffee morning fundraiser in memory of Noel Walsh, Ballintlea was held in St. Brigid's Hall Kilrossanty to raise funds for a much-needed lifesaving community AED defibrillator. A total of €2,116 was raised on the day at the sale and a further €6,035. Totalling to an astonishing amount of €8,151.

On behalf of the fundraising committee, Clodagh Walsh, Susan Whyte & Colette Veale. We would like to say thank you to all of our very generous donators both online and in person, the people who brought along their delicious homemade bakes & fresh homemade jam. We even had some homegrown tomatoes and cooking apples that were quickly bought up.

Massive thanks to the people who helped with the setting up of the hall, making teas and coffees, selling cakes, organising the raffle & cleaning up. Without your support and help the day would not have been a success.

Thanks to all of our local businesses who generously donated raffle prizes, Cooney’s Yard, Bridgie Terries, Crough Coffee, Veales Supermarket, Cookhouse 360 & O’Reillys Butchers.

Thanks to the Parish for the use of the hall, it is amazing to have the facilities in our community.

Thanks to Paul Walsh for the installation of the AED Defibrillator at Kilrossanty National School.

Many thanks to Catherine Dunwoody and the staff at Kilrossanty National School for their support and help from enabling the location of the AED defibrillator to providing a great space for our Cardiac First Responders to train.

Huge thank you to all the members from the Kilmacthomas Cardiac First Responder (CFR) scheme who came along on the day and delivered a wealth of information to our community about the benefits and use of an AED Defibrillator. Thank you for all you do for the people of our area.

Finally, thank you to all who have made this fundraiser such a huge success in memory of a great man, Noel Walsh.

Some members of our beautiful team are moving on to pastures new 😢… as they venture off on their college & professorial careers we bid them a fond farewell and wish them all the best on the next chapter!
