Eleanor is a Sales Assistant at our Galway branch, having joined the Portwest team in June 2021, following in the footsteps of her sister Grace and brother Eoin, who had both also worked at our Galway store. 😊

Having just completed the Leaving Cert, Eleanor has chosen to study Engineering at the University of Galway. 🎓

As well as being a passionate football fan, Eleanor is also a goalkeeper for Galway United F.C. Academy Galway United F.C. WU19 squad. Friendly, energetic and driven, with professionalism beyond her years, Eleanor is also a keeper for Portwest. 🧤⚽

An obvious one is a tent and camping chairs, but here are some other essentials you should think of:

🌧️Waterproof Jacket: Because it's better to bring it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it.

🧥Something Cosy: You're likely to spend time hanging out at your tent early mornings and late evenings when it gets cooler.

🥾Hiking Boots: These are great for keeping your feet dry and comfortable, especially if they’re waterproof. Pair them with merino socks for breathability and odour control.

👲Hats: Wear a hat or a cap to help keep you cool and covered from the sun.

Best of luck to all participants taking place in 'The Roonagh Quay to Clare Island Charity Swim' in aid of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and Louisburgh Order of Malta tomorrow morning. Portwest were delighted to sponsor t-shirts for the participants 👕

The swim is scheduled to depart Roonagh Quay at 08:30 am (weather permitting) on Saturday, August 10. All funds raised will go directly to the two charities mainly with some funds going to other individual charities also. The organizers are hoping that supporters will come out on the day to celebrate and contribute in any way.
