Well done to Charlie Kelly taking 2nd today in stage 1 of the Charleville 2 Day in Cork today, he managed to get himself into a 7 man break behind a lone rider who took the stage and Charlie won the sprint for the second spot.

Abi Conway of Covey Wheelers Westport Cycling Club warming up for Stage 2 of Rás na mBan this morning. She is guest riding with UCD Cycling Club this week. Today’s stage started in Portlaoise and finished in Mountrath, taking on the notorious climb “The Cut” in the Slieve Bloom Mountains.
Rás na mBan is Irelands only women’s international stage race, with 6 stages over 5 days.

After 2 stages of the 3 day Abi Conway takes the Leaders Yellow jersey, 3rd in the bunch sprint on stage 1 and then a 6 rider break on stage 2 which Abi took on the best the country could offer and left them all in her wake. Abi goes into tomorrows final stage in Yellow, Well done Abi.

Another fantastic result for Abi Conway in the Road National Series Rd6 - Alan Towell Memorial in Banbridge today. Abi managed 2nd in the 103km women's race today, she is going from strength to strength 👏👏💪💪

Well done to Charlie Kelly who finished 3rd in the A3 Brian McNamara Memorial Race in Tuam also Brian Glavey finished in the Top 10 in the same race. Well done to Noel Kelly, Greg Baxter, Robert Coakley who all had a good day with no serious incidents.

Charlie relaxing after Stage 2 of the with his adopted team Orwell Wheelers CC all got through today's stage safe and sound after 100km of hard racing.
Well done to Charlie after completing stage 1 of rhe Junior Tour, he finished well after getting held up behind a crash with 13km to go, he'll go at it again tomorrow. Best of luck.

In the mens A3 Paul J Geraghty takes a very impressive 9th and Robert Coakley finishes safely in the bunch, bad luck hit Brian Glavey as he punctured and took him out of the running. Well done all.
