Introducing our stunning wine of the month, Garage Wine Co. Old Vine Pale, Carignan, Mataró, D.O Maule Valley, Chile. Hand pressed in old style baskets to extract the full flavours of the Cabernet grape, this wine is one of the last bastions connecting the old and new world. The palate is delicious in its acidity and the ripe red-fruit flavors of pomegranate, cranberries, wild strawberries and citrus. It's medium-bodied and has firm tannins, ideal to accompany chorizo sausage. It looks like claret, but it's made like a serious rosé, with direct-pressed bunches and just 10% bled off from red wines.

What a great honour to be awarded the best Wine experience in Connaught at the recent Restaurant awards. Sincere congratulations to all the other Westport winners whose awards were well deserved. If you are out and about in Westport this weekend, why not drop in to No 8 and enjoy a glass or two. #

Due to unforeseen circumstances we will remain closed this evening. We will re-open at 5.00pm tomorrow Friday until Sunday.

We are changing to our Spring schedule from next week. We will be open on Tuesday, Valentine's day but from next week we will be closing on Monday and Tuesday.

Following the highly successful launch of our takeaway service, we would like to remind everyone that we offer our full dine-in and takeaway collection services from 5pm until 9.30pm Tuesday to Saturday every week.

We will, however, be open on Sunday 5th of February to celebrate our brand new bank holiday.

We look forward to welcoming friends old and new in the near future.

The team at No.8 are delighted to announce that we are now able to provide a comprehensive range of our delicious tapas for takeaway.
Simply call us on 098 44508 and your freshly cooked to order food will be available for collection at a specified time.
We envisage collection times to be between 20 and 40 minutes, the latter at peak times.
We look forward to providing you all with a taste of the No.8 experience at home.

After a hectic couple of weeks over the festive period, we would like to thank all of you for a great Christmas and to wish you all a very happy New Year.
We will be closed on New Year's day. Normal service will resume on 2nd of January 2023.

It's that time of the year again when the evenings are closing in and we come to the end of a really busy holiday season. With that in mind, we have decided that all the team at No.8 could do with some well-earned down time. We will be closing on Sundays and Mondays for the winter period, starting this weekend.

Our wonderful Spanish chef Alberto has shared another of his stunning family recipes with us. It is Pork Solomillo, consisting of pan fried pork fillet with a choice of three delicious sauces. Roquefort cheese, pepper, or whole grain mustard. The staff have had a sneak preview and we are struggling to decide which one we love the most!

New season but one of our old favourites is back Chicken parcels with Alioli and our famous garlic bread , Benet and Alberto are both in the kitchen tonight why not drop in and sample some of our Spanish beers.
