Cloona Health Retreat

The coach house has recently been renovated and now contains two suites, both of which can also be used as a double/twin room. It also hosts our new dining room.

The Cloona diet is one of the most distinguishing features of our weekly retreat. Drawn from the teachings of Dr Herbert Shelton, it is a vegan diet based on light food (fruit and vegetables), juice fasting and food combining.

The idea is to rest the digestive system so that the body can attend with full vigour to the task of elimination.

The food is based exclusively on fruits and vegetables that are organically and/or bio-dynamically grown.

Our standard 5-day retreat has one day of juice fasting and our weight-loss retreat has two days of juice fasting. All our retreats include a shot of fresh wheatgrass each morning.

With great sadness we announce the death, in her 100th year, of Sonia Kelly, founder of the Cloona Health Retreat. Her long life was lived with vigour, humour and creativity.
