A magical night at SBJJ last night. Our northern star Mr Trevor Sweeney had a special birthday last week. He was away all week, so we celebrated with him last night. A true friend to the club visited the club today and put on two amazing seminars. First was the kiddos, where Sean covered some lovely simple detail for the kids BJJ game ! The kids have so much fun and is as coaches learnt a lot from today. Secondly was the adults turn. Few sore bodies after that today. Beautiful detail for our stand up game. Sean is a master at what he does. Explains the most complicated detail in the most efficient way. Sure to have him back on the blue mat soon. Thanks to all who attended.

Something different today. Almost 150 1st year students were introduced to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu today, as part of multi cultural week at the . Thanks so much for having us in today. Fantastic seminar today with . Rosa took the kids through their paces with a mini seminar first, running through simple foot sweep takedowns and incorporating some really intelligent games. The adults were next !! Quite technical detail taught in a very direct and efficient way. Everyone enjoyed the class and great feedback. Thank you Rosa for an amazing seminar !!. To top off the day was promoted to purple belt by Trevor . Well over due and well deserved. Purple is your colour Darragh !

Silverback Jiu Jitsu Academy is now enrolling for teens only classes. This is open to girls and boys from age 13-17. No previous experience is necessary to take part in the classes. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu helps with confidence, coordination skills and helps build healthy lifestyle habits. If interested, please contact the page. Classes start on the 27th of February at 7:15pm. Grading day yesterday on the blue mat and the energy was second to nothing !! Promotions in the day - white to blue for .craig Paula, and Stevo Berry. Blue to purple - .u_fitness and from purple to brown - Alex Casro. Lots of stripes on the day too. Some serious grind on the day from everyone, and showed their skills in a respectful manner. Silverback Wexford is a very special place and I’m sure everyone will agree, that this was shown yesterday.

Another absolutley amazing morning on the mats at . The kids from our advanced class were graded today. There was a brilliant atmosphere once again. These kids showed great skill and grit today. A lovely display of Jits 😄😄. Thanks to all of the coaches that make these classes happen every week and also a huge thanks to all of the parents for trusting us with their little ones. Every week we try to promote a happy and encouraging environment for them to grow.
