🟧 The Makers House Wexford is moving! 📦

The Creative Hub, our home for the last seven years, will be officially closing its doors at the end of September. We are still searching for a new home, but stay tuned for updates!

Although sad to say goodbye to The Hub, we are very excited to open a new chapter for the Makers House; a name that has become synonymous with the very best in Wexford art, craft and design.

Over the last 7 years we have showcased the work of 50 Makers, all hailing from our very own county, we have hosted numerous workshops, talks and demos. We have become Wexford’s go-to location for high-quality Wexford-made art, craft and design.

We have been so proud to be part of this wonderful initiative, The Creative Hub, supported and funded by the Wexford County Council Arts Office. Thank you to everyone who made this happen, supported us over the years and most importantly - thank you to our many loyal customers!

We may be moving but we’re certainly not gone! Let’s see where the next chapter takes us.

🟪 STONE CARVING 🪨🔨

Join Jason Morris as he delves into the craft of stone carving and the different types of traditional skills and tools used.

Jason is an experienced stone cutter and carver who has worked on our national monuments, heritage buildings and private projects. In this demo Jason will show the process of stone selection and the design of a carving, while showing traditional tools like chisels, hammers, files and other clay models.

Come along and see how a traditional craft is alive and thriving in the Southeast. If you have an interest in this craft and the techniques used, come and have a chat with Jason.
