Sometimes, the studio becomes a place of quiet reflection. As the paper folds and shapes take form, there’s a certain calmness in the air. It’s more than just creating—it’s about being present, letting your mind settle, and enjoying the moment. Each fold is a breath, each crease a pause.

I often engage in reverse engineering shapes that I come across in various places. What I love most about this process is that it’s almost impossible to create an exact replica — it always results in something unique, something that becomes my own. The outcome depends on the material, its color, density, and, of course, the pattern I imagine in my mind.

Additionally, I am looking for a shape or a method to create geometric figures that others can easily make, without long gluing processes or complicated assembly. I’m always on the lookout for new ideas…

I love the story about Kandinsky that beautifully illustrates the power of perspective. One day, Kandinsky saw an abstract painting among other works on the floor of his studio. The painting struck him with its beauty and unfamiliarity, and he couldn’t recall creating it. As he pondered its origin, he suddenly realized it was one of his own works, but viewed upside down! This serendipitous moment reveals how a simple shift in perspective can transform our perception and understanding of art. It’s a wonderful reminder that sometimes, looking at things differently can uncover new layers of meaning.
