This week marks World Breastfeeding Week. It is a global campaign to raise awareness and galvanise action on themes related to breastfeeding. In our clinic, we proudly perform tongue tie and lip tie release procedures, in order to enable breastfeeding in babies with an oral restriction.

Laser tongue tie release is a very quick procedure . It allows the dentist to remove the excess tissue layer-by-layer in a very controlled manner. There is no need for anesthetic or stitches. The baby can and should be fed immediately following the procedure.

The laser sterilizes the area as it works, so infection from laser tongue tie procedure is very rare.
